About The South Lamar
Inspired by the liveliness of downtown Oxford, Mississippi, The South Lamar is a modernized 19th-century home tailored into a premier bed and breakfast. Our modern, art-forward approach to southern hospitality is singular, extending residents a contemporary oasis. The South Lamar is owned and operated by Scott and Brandi Lewis.
The History
Designed in the early twentieth century, The South Lamar has long been a beacon of southern residential luxury. Its post-Victorian design — open floor plans, wide windows, straight lines — lend the bed and breakfast a spacious, community-oriented feel. While the South Lamar spans a total of 13,000-square feet, 9,000 of it consists of five remodeled suites that are available to book.
